The International Journal of Social, Behavioral, and Developmental Studies (IJSBDS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, transparency, and professional responsibility. The journal adheres to internationally recognized principles of responsible scholarly publishing and expects all participants in the publication process to uphold these principles consistently.
Principles of Publication Ethics
Honesty & Integrity
Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to conduct themselves honestly and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Transparency
All participants should support transparent and accountable editorial, research, and publication practices.
Confidentiality
Confidential information relating to manuscripts, reviews, authors, and editorial decisions should be appropriately protected.
Intellectual Property
Authors and editors are expected to respect intellectual property rights and properly acknowledge the work of others.
Research Involving Human Participants
Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards and relevant institutional, national, or international requirements. Where required, authors must obtain appropriate approval from the relevant ethics review body before conducting the research and should provide appropriate evidence of ethical approval when requested by the journal.
Prohibited Practices
IJSBDS considers research and publication misconduct to be serious violations of scholarly integrity. The following practices are strictly prohibited:
Presenting another person's ideas, words, data, or work as one's own without appropriate acknowledgment.
Republishing substantially the same work without appropriate disclosure or justification.
Inventing research data, results, observations, or other research information.
Manipulating, omitting, or misrepresenting research materials, data, procedures, or findings.
Inappropriate attribution, exclusion, or inclusion of individuals in authorship.
Deliberately providing false, misleading, or materially incomplete information during publication.
Maintaining the Integrity of the Scholarly Record
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions accurately represent their research, appropriately acknowledge sources and contributions, and comply with applicable ethical requirements. Authors should cooperate fully with reasonable editorial enquiries concerning the integrity, originality, authorship, and ethical conduct of their work.
Upholding Ethical Standards
Editors and reviewers are expected to handle manuscripts professionally, fairly, and confidentially and to identify and appropriately address potential ethical concerns, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, research misconduct, and other breaches of responsible scholarly publishing.
Integrity in Research. Excellence in Publishing.
IJSBDS is committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record and promoting a culture of responsible research, transparent editorial practice, ethical conduct, and respect for the contributions of the global academic community.
